you mentioned the Nosferatu having plexi tones.

This interests me, because I am locked into having 2 amps.

a fender DR with 6v6's
a gibson goldtone with el84's

as you can imagine, the plexi el34 uber tone ain't gonna happen...

1)so does the nosferatu get that crunch AND lead tone complexity that I tend to associate with plexi?
2) is the break-up a compressed honk with distorted break-up?
3) which fender or which tube type is your exp. based?
4) which Nosferatu version you talkin' about?

try to give more than a ONE WURD ANSWER!!! (yeah, I know you are busy with you many fans!)

I used it with both those tube types.It's not compressed at all.Very natural plexi tone.I sold mine so I can buy the small box one.

I had the first version.I haven't heard the sound files.This pedal doesn't sound scooped at all.

the soundfiles sound scooped if Oakland says they sound scooped

Sounds like he dropped the mids on his amp.Those samples suck.That pedal sounds way better then that.
