yesterday as i drove home, i spent the entire 1/2 hour trying to repeat every nuance of the old country preacher i had as a kid. i tried to repeat his cadence he had as he lead to congregation in prayer. i repeated phrases he used and much to my chagrin, fellow motorists may have overheard my loud baritone.

dear father almighty,

we have sinned. we've not kept our eyes upon you.......nor your ways. and from time to time......from whenceforth that there art thou knowest.....we have failed. our flesh is weak......our disobedience strong. where for art thou seeketh..........thou shalt not walk through an ocean.....alone. and from time to time...........reasons, morals and ethics......were given to mankind. our fingers are cut.....but they shalt not bleed! and as jesus taught us how....to pray: our father, who art in heaven.....(continues with Lord's prayer)

The first recording I ever made included a

sample of my preacher that I got with a little

pocket recorder and then transferred to four

track. It said really clear "You dont even

want to be saved". . .it was part of something

else he was saying . . . so it was of course

taken out of context but. . .it sounded really

sinister in the song I made. [it sucked]
