Learning songs...I have an adrennalinn and I run it threw my stereo with a Tube preamp.Keeps levels down so everybody else in the house doesn't go crazy.I'm thinking of more a tube preamp type route. But I haven't figured it out yet...

I start Cubase and set a drum loop going
Lay down rhythm guitar and work out the structure around that
Lay down bass
Lay down lead
Lay down hammond

Then cut and paste for variations on arrangement

Bobs your uncle

NICE

For rough working out I use the crappy amp models and fx on my Zoom PS - O2 through a Soundcraft Spirit Folio into Cubase running on a Midiman Audiophile 2496

If I'm laying down a proper solo I'll mike up my Fender Blues Jr.

NICE
