I think Ty is right about digital delays in the fact that they sound so processed and high endy.I can't wait to hear the maxon.

man, they stink! nothing like 16 bit digital effects! Frown

I used to LOVE mine.

Then one day I heard it after listening to a G*Major, and was shocked and awed by the horror of the 16 bit A/D/A conversion... :shudder:

delays have been my bain...

everytime I go to get one I might like, it is gone or I am outbid...the prices have just skyrocketed on some of these analog pedals..it is perplexing..paying 300 bucks for a delay, in my estimation, is only something a working musician might be inclined to do (or if you are lucky enough to be holding spare cash!)...shit, 300 bucks is half a used vox ac15!

I just imagine that these new maxon's are worth this sort of mulla to ME, given my playing abilities...I just cant sanction it when an ibanez ad9 used to sell in used mint condition for 80 bucks max, 3 years later, same pedal goes for 150+...so much for the recession...

I will stick with my ibanez de7...yeah, I know...but bang for buck, it's a good pedal...

I am waiting to see akai's next upgrade top 24 bit on the headrush...I like that pedal even with it's 16 bit...pretty useful I thought...

dm-2's go for 180+...and an ibanez ad9 nearly as high...these are 80 dollar pedals at best in my mind...just fluff now with current pricing of boutique analog delays getting even more insane..t rex and ad900, between 300-400 bucks?...go yank someone else's schlong Roll Eyes

I paid near that price for a DM-2 on e-bay...
It's a cool pedal, but it doesn't live on my board. Currently my daily delay is a DD-5...

I just bought a Boss dm-2 off EBay. I bought a 'package of pedals'...Big Grin

get this...

a boss dm-2, boss ce-2, ibanez pt-909 phase tone, EH soul preacher/compressor, and a 'broken' mxr chorus...$215 shipped. I figure to sell off everything but the boss dm-2 and should net the dm-2 for about 60-90 dollars... Cool

I am sorry to hear about that Frown...that ain't right selling seconds as firsts!...I cursed the walls mightily when I missed getting it. I think a new, functioning CM Delayla at $99 is a friggin' steal. I don't like that it has it's own dedicated power supply since I went to SO much bother to set up wall warts...

I may be the only person who prefers wallwarts to self-regulated boxes.. Smile

Dude...that's awesome! I may be interested in that CE-2 and PT-909 when you get them. Let me know what you are asking for them when they arrive.

You see your own taint?...I'm calling a chiropractor!

I like my Line 6 DL-4 and my H2O just fine. Nobody cares as much about your delays as you do, especially when you're loud. The H2O has a treble roll off and the DL-4 does just about anything you want or a facsimile thereof.
