JL on my solos:

"Well, it sounds like assfarts yeah, sure...but they are YOUR assfarts, dude."

TyTor on my solos:

"Yeah sure, when you move into the second position of the pentatonic scale, I mean..doors will open, right?"

OZ on my solos:

"So you have been playing guitar for THAT long? Really. I find that really hard to believe."

saline on my solos:

"You always seem to wear such nice t-shirts you know. And you appear to hold the pick correctly, I guess."

I will never RAWK till I have molten assfarts from Hellfire.

What's a pentatonic scale? Confused

I will never RAWK till I have _molten assfarts from Hellfire_.

Perhaps you should try a Soldano. Big Grin

Although if you really want to take it to the next level you could just get a Marshall JCM-900 or a Carvin Steve Vai model amp.

Or better still...get a Boogner or a Mesa Tripple Rectum Frier.

That makes a lot of sense...seeing as how YOUR fingers are often in your own ass. That must be how you get your own personal "brown sound".

You must have your fingers in Oakland fairly often then, based on your simple, weak sounding playing.

I could out play your sorry ass any day of the week old man...and I could do it in several different styles.

Keep practicing though...maybe by the time you are ready to retire you will be at least 1/4th the guitarist I am. I'm afraid, however, that it's much too late for you to even consider getting anywhere close to being as good a bassist or sax player as I. Maybe you could take up stamp collecting or something less challenging before your final days. It would be less stressful on the ol' ticker you know.

It's no wonder you're so good Ty (what the fuck kind of name is that anyway? )with all those pedals and amps. Smile

Is that why you quit that band? You were too good for them?

listen...I'm a shitty, undisciplined wankee guitarist...I make no secret of this...that I dont make music my quest is...the way the chips fell outta the cow...half the time I think I wrote a song, I am just stealing something I havent knowed was being stolen...

like 3 nites ago..I played a song for my pal Pete(true story), and I was like all excited, doin' the 'song' kinda bad flaminco style (I'd been listening to alot of early Mink Deville this week Big Grin) and Pete says.."Isnt that 'Mister youre a better man than I' mostly strummed differently?"
Eek

DAMN! I 'wrote' a flamico version of that Classic! (to go with my reggae version of it!Smile)

anyway, what's this thread about again..? Confused

It's the name I was born with...I admit it's not as original and cool as a name like "Steve". Roll Eyes

...but then again it suits your personality perfectly...boring, simple, mediocre. Now if only your parents had the forethought to name you something more belligerent and prickish they would have really been on to something. Oh well...the apple prolly didn't fall too far from the tree in the brains department.

with all those pedals and amps. Smile

Different tools for different jobs. You're probably one of those "geniuses" who would show up for a plumbing job with a paint roller.

Seeing as how you have no real sense of style and can only play poorly (at best) in your chosen medium it doesn't makes sense for someone like you to have more than one guitar or amp (actually as poorly as you play it doesn't even make sense to have the one guitar or amp).

Is that why you quit that band? You were too good for them?

Besides the fact that one of the members was letting their personal problems get out of hand, I left the band for bigger opportunities (you know...you those things that you have never really had). On top of that I also was able to put together a second band and explore more creative territory as well as work on other projects to develop other areas of my musical expierence.

Tell you what pal...when you leave a signed band that was voted best local band in a large metropolitan area in two major local papers and a national publication, been written up in Billboard, featured in Mix Magazine (I don't recall ever seeing your face in Mix Magazine before Steve) for another band who's new CD is being paid for by the vice president of a large television network then you can talk to me about how great you are with your little Peavey Bandit and your NAFTA-caster.

Until then you aren't fit to hold my guitar case...try not to forget that. Smile

So how's your musical career going? Confused

What are you getting your panties in a bunch for Ty(ler?)

You started the whole "I'm better than you" thing, I didn't. I really don't have a musical career, by choice. If I had just practiced harder, maybe I too could be in not one, but TWO local bands that nobody ever heard of.

I have better things to do with my time than to chase pipe dreams. You know, a job, a wife, kids, a mortgage.....

Dude, lighten up, okay? Your red face is clashing with your skinny tie.

Hahahaha...I just reread this:

Explore more creative territory? The Lewis and Clark of music?
Your musical experience? Dude, you play the guitar in a band....please.

Just playing along Steveo...try not to read too much into it.

If you practiced harder you might be able to tune your guitar...that's about it.

I have better things to do with my time than to chase pipe dreams.

They're not pipe dreams when...

1) You have real talent...and...

2) Someone else is footing the bill.

Maybe that's why you never went anywhere. But hey...whatever you need to tell yourself to detract from your personal failures is all good.

You know, a job, a wife, kids, a mortgage...

Yeah...because you know you can't have those things if you have a career in music Roll Eyes...that is unless you have talent and some guts.

But again...whatever get's you through the night. Smile

Dude, lighten up, okay? Your red face is clashing with your skinny tie.

Dude...I ain't even breaking a sweat here...you on the other hand, break a sweat bending over to pick up a dropped Cheeto. Maybe you should follow your doctor's advice and take it easy pal. Wouldn't want you to have a heart attack...at your age you could fall down and break a hip. Eek

Steveo doesn't need a really nice sound system...all his tone is in his fingers. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Now if only he could find a way to get it out of his fingers and out through his speakers.
