Anyone want to guess what the late SRV was worth at the time of his untimely death?
OK I am not making light of SRV or being morbid here but I some how ran across the legal document stating the value of his estate at the time of his death and was kinda shocked actually.I do miss SRV and think he was not only a great player but a great human being as well. I really don't want to come off as being tacky here but we all have our ideas of the chicks, cars, houses, parties etc associated with stardom and I found this one to be like ..>WOW!
I really liked Sting with the Police and his career started roughly at the same time give or take a few years. Well in 1990 Sting owned something like 3 $10,000,000 villas and only God knows what his estate is worth.
I think I figured SRV must have been close financially since he had as many guitar clones as Jimi when he died. Of course this all has zero bearing on his ability or worth actually and is just a money thing and kinda sux but it just kinda caught me by surprise.
OK let's not cheat and do a google search (please ) OK what number is closest to SRV's net worth in 1990?

Hes not going be close to what the Police were doing , hes really an obsure guitar player hyped by other guitarists . Much like Danny Gatton , Shawn Lane and others . They did not make the big bucks .

Who cares, really? He's dead. It was his money. It's not like I'm getting anything out of it. I care how much money I have or don't have. People who take stock in others wealth just seem petty and bitter. Or are going to be on that road soon enough.
