I am hardly one to talk as I have been known to spend ungodly amounts of money on pedals, amps, guitars and basses...but anyone who would pay the price of admission for the Framptone A/B switcher should seek professional help ASAP. Wink

Shit...I would have sold you my silcicon fuzz card for $30 plus shipping. I like the stock card much better...And I discovered a really cool trick using the CC2 with a SHO pedal.

I just bought the following...

Boss analog delay (DM-2?)

EBS OctaBass

Fulltone BassDrive (my wife is picking it up for me as we speak...musicToyz wanted me to wait another week...Haight Ashbury Music Center had them in stock.)

Monster Cables (I got a bunch of the Studio Pro 100 series...I got $1500 worth of cables for $150)

And I Ninja gave me his Keeley DS-1 (now I have two).

I also recently bought an EBS Multi Comp and of course...the Captain Coconut 2 and a silicon fuzz card.

You see your own taint?...I'm calling a chiropractor!

Yeah...the stock card has so much warmth and body but it's a lot more controlable than most fuzzes. The silicon fuzz is OK, but it lacks balls in my opinion...lots of edge though. I could see using it for overdubbing on an already dense track or something.

I do not know this "urizen" character (an English Lit major?), but if he likes the Framptone, he is, like Jesus, alright with me. I have one and am quite (as in very) happy with it---perhaps it's a tad pricey, but the ground-lift button is an incredibly quick and handy solution to unforeseen ground-loop problems in different venues, as is the the capacity to flip a switch to "reverse" the phase of an out-of-phase amp when bi-amping.

I wasted my money on a Morley ABY and feel I did the same w/ a Lehle Whirlwind which, although relatively good at not coloring/sucking tone, didn't solve the ground-loop issue. I tried to use the stereo outs on the DL4 and DM4 to serve as full-time signal splitters, but that was a most unsatisfactory solution. Granted, I haven't experience with the various iterations of The Loooper, which does look interesting (but which AFAIK, doesn't have the lift or phase-reverse feature), but the $250 spent on the Framptone was, to me worth it since I can now also get a more pristine signal into different effect boxes going to different amps. Paradoxically though, I find myself using the just sound of uneffected bi-amp set-ups much more than most of my stompboxes now (although the Super-Duper seems to be a fairly permanent part of the chain now, and I like to slapback a Fuzz Factory into one amp set at a slightly lower volume than the other).

Made in the USA and with a 5 year warranty, what's not to like?

I agree. The framptone is a great piece of work and like you I like to run things seperate to different amps. There's all kinds of new sounds that way and I also find myself not useing a compressor as much.My only problem with the framptone is it didn't seem to like buffers In it's signal path at all.I had to bring out my true bypass delay and sell my maxon.

I'm Heavily Littered Pedalboard Man..
