I mean, seriously. This is like some demented experiment designed by Scott Lehman. It's as if he took a razor blade and scraped some of his bacterial culture from one side of the petri dish to the other.

The result is not good.

Over on OJ, things have become stultifyingly insipid with the lack of input from you angry but intelligent and creative folks. OJ is no longer a source of entertainment, it has become a sleep aid.

On the other hand, this place is a predictable sewer of cliquish puerile hatred. Separated and made to stand in the corner, unable to attack the conservatards directly (except for their infrequent visits), you have resorted to spewing your vile upon each other - just to keep in practice, I'd suppose.

It as if some demented surgeon has separated the yin and yang with the brute force of a blunt scalpel, unaware that one cannot exist separate from the other.

Some of you are dealing with this forced and uncomfortable dichotomy by hopping back and forth between OJ and here, behaving there and ranting here. Others have chosen up sides.

Didn't "Star Trek" demonstrate long ago that you can't cut the "dark side" out of a man or a group of men and still have the man or men?

This is ridiculous. If this were my lab, I'd flush the remnants of this experiment, have the glassware autoclaved, and note in the lab book, "Useless, do not repeat."

I can't speak for the rest, but I just use this forum as a toilet, and to swiftly say hi to EGM or Ty or Monkey or KK or anybody else who I wouldn't be able to say hi to otherwise.

The way I see it, OJ was a very complex and quirky piece of machinery. Sometimes it was in need of maintenance and some times it was capable of producing wonderful things.

What has happened now is that some of the component parts of that machine have been removed and placed here. Neither the original functionality of OJ nor the funcionality of the bar survived the maintenance.
