I'm thinking the RA300. My Monitor Twos can take 150 watts, which is the rms for the ra300. Is this about right? People tell me to get amps that can push more than your speakers can handle.

or zzounds has a new one for $230. I'm tempted to just buy it now. My other one isn't completely busted, but one channel goes out sometimes and it doesn't turn on or off... you just have to unplug it. Is it time to buy a new one?

Alesis rules. El jeffy has an RA100 and it really is completely transparent. I'm often terrified to listen my material and hear what really isn't there.

I've always been too cheap/poor/lazy...to ever actually buy a refrence amp...or real monitors. Frown

Damn you refrence amps!

Urrrerer

I wanna get it, but I don't know if I can justify spending $300 right now. I can afford it... but... mine works, kinda... and I'm not scheduled to do any critical work for another month or two...

I'll just buy one when I need it. No sense blowing the money now.

Those amps are made by people who eat meat.

They make the amps with greasy meat covered

hands. Smile

When I got my Alesis monitors there was this weird rattling in them. I eventually took them apart and found dogfood inside of them. Yumm. So maybe Alesis is sticking meat or meat related products into their gear.
