Phobesy showed me the Nady version two years ago...first one I seen since then...

It seems from this page (which is mostly in Japanese, mostly) that Springsteen used the Nady version of this pedal on the Born in the U.S.A. tour:

That's not going to sound anything like a Valve Grinder (not even a "poor man's" Valve Grinder). It most likely sounds like a TubeWorks, Real Tube pedal.

I wouldn't waste my money on it unless you were looking for an alternative to getting a TubeWorks pedal which you can pick up pretty much anywhere.

I didn't listen to them, but someone in their HC review of the Nady posted sound samples of the Nady and a Tonebone to show that they're pretty much the same.

They're using the more recent version of the Nady however - it has the same model number but it has the same shaping switches and tone knobs as the Tonebone.

tonebones are 200 bucks!
