This is as good as it gets.

ironically, the opening band Idlewild had much cooler looking t shirts at 1/2 the cost....

I got htere 10 minutes before PJ mounted da stage...we got such killer parking...I think they sent us to the VIP pl;ace by mistake...goes to show that a little nipplage shown will go along ways...anyway...kinda a weird PJ show.

I think it was more apparent that the older PJ songs were more interestingly contructed and more complex as per hooks and riffs and temp shifts...lately, McCreedy just wails on that fuckin wah pedal on so many solos I just wanna hit him with a Bud bottle (full)...(I wore RL denim jacket so that I'd blend in with the crowd.. )...even flow was excellent...alive was sweet...betterman was...a singalong, which is perverse actually...daughter was straight, no jam...do the evolution was messy, but fun...


the vocals were mixed down this time (from where we were) so you couldn't hear Eddie so much...he's still got the cords to shred some angst...

I like when mccreedy plays it 'a la Townsend' with a Hiwatt-ish tone on his rhythm work. I also like it when he does that Marshall break-up...a more ballsy plexi sound. He played a LP with P90's at one point..had to be P90's...

anyway, they sounded best with LP's and SG's, and when Veder did NOT play. when he plays, sometimes it sounds like mush on the rhythm side.

just wish PJ (AND Robert Smith) would lighten up on the WAH dependance.

a good time was had by all I think...yeah, he ripped Jorge and defended the Dixie Chicks..when some boo'd the DC's, Veder says, 'Anyone who'd boo the Dixie Chicks is a fucking moron and I'd smack them....' sumptin like that...
