What do people generaly think about Peter Gabriel...What's the overall concept this person?

What's your personal take if different?

I know little about him, and don't think I ever heard a track by him.

I like a lot of his stuff, and hate a lot of it. it goes track by track.

I am man enough to say I didnt care for his more arty stuff and actually thought his R&B flavored stuff was his best work.

I am sure you have heard him, if you've heard a radio in the 90's

I thought So was a great record for the times, and it holds up well. I always mildly hated shock the monkey tho...and games without frontiers was another hit that I never really liked so much...and I am rather sick of solsbury hills, or whatever its called...

he's bald now...from what Ive read, he's actually a really cool guy, and terribly smart And thoughtful..

oh yeah, he was in Genesis like till 76...I think.

I always hated that band.

Damn good songwriter! Saw him live a few years ago and the old fucker still puts on a good show.

I saw him live a couple of years ago. I was skeptical but, my wife dragged me to the show.
Ended up being one of the best shows I've ever been to. New stuff or old, he nailed every tune.
I like him better now that I've seen him live.

thanks for the offer, I think amoeba will suffice. jl would probably have a dozen records by him but they wouldn't have the fancy souped up 64bit mastering on them that my ears call for these days!!
