It's the closing show with Kevin Arnold(Noise Pop organizer)'s band at Thee Parkside on Sunday night. If any of you Bay Area folks aren't attending the Academy Awards, come on down!

We still have to hear back from our drummer, but I know he's going to be in town so I don't know why he wouldn't play.

Thanks guys - turns out I inadvertently lied (had bad information) aboot some aspects of the show, but we are still playing it. The band we're playing with is not Kevin Arnold's band, but is the band of another Kevin (Dave just assumed it was Kevin Arnold). Also, it's not on the Noise Pop schedule, though Thee Parkside is hosting Noise Pop shows.

Anyway, we're supposed to be playing around 10:00 if anyone can make it out.

Yeah...you'll be there...just like you were at the Taikonaut show you said you were going to be at...and just a day before the show no less...in person even.

However, if you would still like to come see Taikonaut play we have a show two weeks from this coming Wednesday I believe at Thee Parkside. Unfortunately we go on last, but if anyone can make it, we could always use the support. Playing a Wednesday anytime of the evening is usually a real bitch...being the last band on Wednesday nights is a double plus bitch.

Anyway...Saline...how much is it going to be? I'm pretty strapped but I would like to go. Let me know what's what.

I tRY to be as supportive and positive as I can about people's performances, demos and releases...I think I have generally been 'a fan'...but I sometimes fail, maybe too often by your measure...If you have a problem with that - ALLRIGHTEE for you Ty...

No one is saying you aren't supportive or positive. No one knows that better than me and no one appreciates it more than me.

That being said...the ratio of times that you say you will be somewhere to the number of times you acctually show is pretty low. Everyone pretty much assumes you won't make an event when you say you will be there. It's not like we hate you for it or anything...in fact, more often than not it's amusing...and from time to time it is, for the betting man, quite lucrative given the odds of you showing.

Anyway...it's nothing to get too bent out of shape over either way and I hope you weren't put off in any way by my initial post or the comments above. You know we love you...for Christ's sake, don't make us say it.

That's cool - I rarely make it out to shows these days myself, especially if they're across the bay (but even in San Francisco I'm not going out much, seeing as how I was cut to part time once again ). I'm sure we'll be playing more shows in your neck of the woods. After last night, I think we're going to work on playing live more often. We were slammin'! It's the first time I felt that we are a very good band.

I know, and I appreciate it. I am my own toughest critic, however. Being on stage last night, for the first time I really thought, "Damn, I'd like to be in the audience catching this show!" The booker there said he wants to have us back on a "real night". A guy from the other band even called my playing "fluid" and I got a playing compliment from a couple guys I didn't know. I wish there had been more people there, but I don't care too much as the show gave me a nice high anyway.

Hmmmm...well...we may have to do the tour in May...which wouldn't be so bad since the students will still be in school.

I'm thinking of promoting the tour as the "Escape from San Francisco" tour. I will do a one sheet featuring pics and brief bios of all three bands and may even make a short run of CD's with two songs from each of us on it.

What do you think.

It's all in how you pitch it.

The only problem may be scheduling...If the guys want to push for June then I don't know how Carrot can do it. We're going to be talking about the whole thing tonight.

Also...don't forget...our "investor" may have some pull as well in regards to the booking so it may not be as difficult as you think.

But again...this is all stuff we need to be looking into. I'm making a list of all the shit that needs to be done and e-mailing it to Scott and Brian as we speak.
