Ed Phobes AND Jeff Left recommended it to me some time ago. He's yet to steer me wrong in areas of tone...Big Grin

it's a 2205 in 1x12 combo, a channel switcher with footswtichable reverb.(yeah, I know post-83 has diodes in the gain stageMad, but so dont ALL my stomp boxes!Smile) Maybe the Drakes are key, I dunno...they seem pretty heavy too...Frown

I want the American one with 6550's...my thinking is...I can add a 2x12 cab down the road as a needed project for my soon discarded greenback...and something else. Maybe add a Vintage 30, cheap like and have a greenback/vint 30 cab goin in 16 ohm, so I can use it with all my amps...I expect these Marshalls are 8 ohmers...

I know I will pay too much. (yes.) I always get picked off, it is true.Frown..prolly make-up for the Gretsch theft...

--- all this for when I open for the Ass Chasity Tour, singing my 3 songs....Frown

You're not going to like a single speaker Marshall. They're not like single speaker Fender amps...and the single channel 800's sound better.

If you must get a two channel version at least spring for the two speaker version.

Trust me on this.

Look...I realize you like 1x12 amps. A 1x12 Marshall is not like your 1x12 Fenders or your Gibson Gold Tone.

Trust me...you won't like it...and with 6550's you really need the two speakers to get the kind of tone you are after.

You can do what you like, of course, but knowing your tastes the way I do, I can assure you, you are not going to like it. But hey...live and learn...right?

Anyway, if you are looking to sell your Banzi, I woudn't mind having first crack at it if you wouldn't mind. What are you asking for it?

Might be OK if you're using it as a dedicated "distortion" amp.

Don't expect a usable clean sound from it.

The footswitchable reverb, however, is a great feature - it's so easy to switch that shitty sound off! Smile

Dude, the San Mateo Bridge is for LOSERS - what, it's like 10 feet down to the water Roll Eyes

besides, I have what you need to 'fix'(assuming you have the blue speaker) your sound with the amps you already own, and its free. Don't buy anything until you check these things out - 4 real Wink

Honestly, I never saw you as a Marshall kind of person

When did Ty have a 4212? Confused

The 4104 or 4103 is a completely different animal than the 4212 - the 4010 is probably a good 1X12 Marshall.
