Being honest with your shortcomings is fine, but perhaps being equally honest with your blessings is fine too? Whenever I find that I am in a funk, and am beating myself up, I try to focus on the good things that bring me hope and upliftment. My musical sucesses are one of those things. It is true that all artists go through cycles of creativity and we also have different feelings about those cycles. I would just say that to not let the negatives you see so clearly now, keep you from the positives you know are still there. I wish you well, bro. Peace David Surkamp

I disagree. My most prolific period was when I was just making music by myself on my computer. Well, on my friend's computer. I didn't get my own for like a year after I started.
