I'm getting close to the halfway point in my novel, and I'm realizing that at one point in time, I should send manuscripts out after some editing... So, the real question is, at what point should I send people manuscripts? I mean, its not like they'll actually read the shit, but... still, what's the expected level of completion? Is halfway even too far? *shrug* Or should it all be done?

I have had my poems published several times.

Never a novel though.

This is as good as it gets?

Cool! I'd ask ya about stuff, but of course, the situations aren't particularly analogous.

I will ask, though, did you just send them unsolicited? That's what I wonder about. Publishing companies must be sick of getting crap manuscripts and shit like that unsolicited, but how the hell do you get them to want your stuff?!

A former professor of mine thought that some of

my stuff was worthy of publishing and he had some

sort of "in" with a publisher because he has

written several books. To be perfectly honest, I

really did'nt even like the poems. I am never

totally satisfied with anything though. That is

both a curse and a blessing. Frown I really have no

ideas about how to get published. I did'nt have

much to do with it. I was just responding to your

initial question. Good luck with your novel.
