sound forge or CE2 for effects..which is BETTER?

My W*ves DirectX plugIns don't work in SoundForge, so I've started using CoolEdit more.

Also, in coolEdit, you can apply non-detructive effects to your tracks (in the multi-track view), and then tweak them to your liking as you listen to your mix.

I sometimes use SF for delay. some of the reverb/delays are less 'lush'/warm and overtly affected than CE's...also,I liked the compression in SF better, seemed to leave the track less processed sounding, ei less 'pumping' sounding..generaLLY, I dont use it tho.

cant really get too far along yet with graphic EQ work - I am kinda all over the map thereFrown

tried to use the tremelo effect in SF, and it was pretty neat for something that I'd never think to use, but...heyBig Grin


I have been trying to work a JL mp3 into a .wav CE session, and so evrything is kinda closed down and compressed cause of the mp3.. Smile
