Does anybody know how Ronson gets the Delay/Echo at the ending solo of Moonage Daydream? And are there anyways to replicate it with new equipment? which ones work the best?
thanks! |

I'd want to guess tape Echo, I usually mess around with an ad-9 for that part, but I am sure any modeler will get you pretty much spot on. Need to figure that out, because I pretty sure my band will be covering that at one of our upcoming shows.

try a tape echo.
At Trident studio circa 72 it would have been a combo of plate reverb and tape delay. Live- Ronno used some kind of tape echo(likely a Watkins). You can actually see a little round footswitch on Ziggy live which i guess would have been for Ronnos tape delay. |
