Hey everyone. I have a question. On the Foo Fighters first album there is a song called "Wattershed" and in the intro Dave has a weird chorus/clean/dirty sound coming from his guitar. I have no idea how to describe it other than that. I've also heard the same sound on the song "Mask" by Iggy Pop. Any one have an idea?

PS> I'm not looking for how he got his distortion. Pro Rat distortion pedal was used for that. I'm just looking for that distinct sound. Thanks.-Jamin
