Anyone know what John Mayer is doing/using for that effect in the beginning of the song "Bigger than my Body?" It's that pull-off thing in the intro and it also shows up several other times throughout the song.

That's a preset on the Adrenalinn II

Aside from the Adrenalinn II, do any other pedals have this effect? I'd much rather a smaller and cheaper pedal with this effect on it rather than the Adrenalinn.

Sorry, but the point is that you can only get that effect with the Adrenalinn.
Or maybe with a few hundred thousand dollars in high end rack gear or with some sophisticated computer processing. "I started messing around with the AdrenaLinn and very soon found this combination of the beat and the arpeggiator. I've never heard a guitar do that before. I just stayed there in that room for like two or three hours. I have the Pro Tools session and you can hear the development of the song ['Bigger Than My Body'], each part coagulating. I remember thinking to myself, This is really strong, this really makes me feel good." —John Mayer, excerpted from his November 2003 interview in Britain's Guitarist magazine |
