If it's similar to the Fulltone DejaVibe, the "Vintage" switch is at unity volume (no volume boost) and it kills some highs, generating a more 'muddy' sound, as an older (vintage) effect would.
The "Modern" setting (on the DejaVibe), is more transparent, letting the highs through and giving a clearer tone, as a modern, high quality effect would. On the DejaVibe, this modern setting also gives you a volume boost. In short, the Vintage setting intentionally muddies your sound, like an effect made back in the 60's (unintentionally) would. |

well simply he went through a dmc 50 TFdx whilst the tone booster is on a max of gain to multiply for the feedback given off from the humbuckers.What you need is forecloser 270 with venom 2 tone wire cables and a ibanez reverb toner. pretty simple.
