OK, I've got the "funk slap" intro part down pretty well but the rampage of tapped harmonics after that has me stumped. Anyone got that down? Also, if I play something that might be close I get real problems with ringing, any help on muting strings after tapping would be great

That intro used to piss me off years ago, too. The unwanted ringing needs to be addressed by the wrist or palm of the tapping. You also must use a sorta syncopated damping with the fretting hand between notes....
