it sounds like an evelope filter/auto wah to me???

Yeah, that's my favorite Robben solo. It fits perfectly into that song, nicely offsets the ultra laidback vibe of the rest of the song.
As for the effect, I'd say you're right, but don't know for sure..
Hey Guys, In response to what effect Robben uses on that song, I believe it's just a strait/regular wah pedal. I've got a live video of him and the Blue Line playing in Germany and he's riding the wah pedal through that entire song. In the studio, he might have used an auto wah/envelope filter--it does sound a bit different to me too. You can go to www.virtualguitarmagazine.com/road_rigs.htm for a good look at Robben's rig--no drooling!! THE WILLIEBUDDA
I saw him in Germany as well (just after he put out 'Handful of Blues' in Trier (I believe the club 'Duchsal'). He was using 2 Fender Blackface Twins (reissue or not, I don't know), a TS-808 and it appeared to be a Wah of some sort and a TC Chorus. There were 30 guitar players crowded to that part of the stage drooling over his pedalboard.

I just saw him Recently in Germany and he had 2 Red Knobbed twins and his Dumble head...One twin was for cleans and the other was not on...he only used the speakers for his Dumble...couldn't see his pedal board but heard a Wah and precious few if any other effects.
