Anybody know how to get the toy-guitar sound of the intro???

you need a bandpass filter, and a warbly vibrato.

I'm pretty sure it's a studio trick, and they manipulated it in Protools and looped it. That's how I would do it anyway. Slam it with a hipass and a lowpass filter, just leaving that telephony tone, and warbling the pitch a smidge.
