There are a LOT of "Blues" tones. So, you have to ask yourself a few questions.
What kind of amp, and guitar are you using? Are there any famous players, songs, or recordings that could help to demonstrate the sounds you're thinking of?

I play a fat strat into a vox valvetronix or a roger linn adrenalinn 2. I would like to sound like Johnny Winters and SRV more electric texas blues style sound.

The strat should get you a good sound. Try the middle/bridge pickup selection. That will give you a nasally, out of phase sound that works great. I also prefer the neck pickup for a warmer sound.
I'm not experienced with the Valvetronix amp, but you could try the Fender type settings. If there is a Deluxe Reverb setting, or a Tweed Bassman setting, you can get some pretty good approximations. Also, you could try a TS type of pedal.
Also, you should listen to a lot of different players. Try Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Lonnie Mack, Albert Collins. The more variety you hear, the easier it will be to see the possibilities.

I use a Les Paul Custom (not similar to a strat) into a Tonelab SE (very similar to Valvetronix). When I want the SRV type tone, I use the Tube OD (TS-808 model) into Tweed 4X10 amp and cab models.

Pedal is a Tube Screamer
Pedal: Tube OD
Drive: 7.0
Level: 5.1
Tone: 7.8

For rhythm, I back my neck pickup off a bit to clean it up. If you're using a strat, that might not be necessary.
Chan A: Tweed 4X10 (Rhythm)
Gain: 5.1
VRGain: 10.0
Treble: 8.7
Mid: 1.5
Bass: 1.4
Presence: 9.3
ChVol: 5.0
Cab: Vox AD412
NR Sens: 6.8

For lead, open it up full.
Chan B: Tweed 4X10 (Lead)
Gain: 6.9
VRGain: 10.0
Treble: 8.5
Mid: 3.1
Bass: 1.2
Presence: 9.1
ChVol: 5.6
Cab: Vox AD412
NR Sens: 8.2

This modulator (connected to the control on/off switch) will (sort of) do the Cold Shot effect. I would rather use the Uvibe, but it's not available when using the OD.

Mod: Classic Choir
Speed: 5.80 hz
Depth: 6.8
Manual: 1.0
Mode: 1

Use delay for an echoplex effect, reverb as desired.
