Just discovered Johnny A's Witchita Lineman. I know he uses an ES-295 reissue with a special whammy he found (a Maestro?. First question, what else is he doing to get those deep tremmy sounds - the obvious nod to gifted fingers aside.
Second, the ES295 is, I understand, just an ES175 with gold paint, attitude and a higher price tag. Is that accurate? Did Gibson ever make a whammied ES175?
