How can I approach that kind of "surf sound?" by the Chris Isaak guitarist on "Wicked game" or "Blue hotel"? (Sorry, I don't know the name of this guy...)Thanks for your future advices...

There is an article floating around by (I think) Mix magazine that goes into great detail on how this sound was created. I will post the link if I can find it. Basically, the recorded version was created in the studio with alot of manipulation/editing.

Another take on the cool note bending that I think of when this song is mentioned:
"The intro riff is hard to notate. Basically, the sequence on the B string is: pick open string (B), bend tremelo down 1/2 step, hammer-on 7th fret (F#), release tremelo, pick 7th fret (F#), slide down to open string." - from the Temple of Tabs |
