i was listening these days a lot of dream, especialy the "train of thoughts". i alwasys liked them and their sound, talking here about the guitar. i read something but i am not sure: do you have any idea how does Petrucci gets his awsome distortion on that album, or maybe on the first song? so full, lots of bottom but stil clear?

Quite alot of gear. Not at much as U2's the Edge but up there.

Best I can remember is several preamps and poweramps, mostly Mesa. He's been promoting the Roadking amps and I *think* the Stiletto by Mesa
