Well I just got the surprise of my life.. I normally play Mesa Mark IV's. Twin's, Pearce amps, & ADA which I love all of them.

Yes I know.. its degrading to admit you have looked at an amp under $1000 on a forum like this.. but go ahead.. dont be embarrassed. ha

I went into a shop in Gatlinburg,TN over the weekend & wanted to try out a tele they had... the closest amp to me was a neat looking Epiphone Triggerman 60 combo..

I plugged straight in, set the eq & levels similar to what I would on my Twin, turned it on & it REALLY surprised me.. probably one of the best (if not THE best) solid state combo's Ive ever heard. *Im only speaking of the clean channel for now. In fact, i may even prefer it to the sound I get from my 65 RI Twin.. it was very spanky & seemed to compress somewhat when you pick harder (rather than peaking out like most solid state amps do).. it seemed to have really good bottom end handling capacity as well...Very warm & full tone.. the partial closed back cab design probably helps somewhat as well.. The reverb & slap back echo were fairly decent considering the price... For $269 I would buy it based on the clean channel & the great looks alone

The overdrive channel... SO-SO.. not great, not the worst.. better than many solid state amps I had tried.. but never the less, I would use a pedal in front of it anyway.. so no big deal.

Have any of you played one of these? Have you gigged one?.. Im interested to know how it performed at louder stage volumes... or just interested to hear other opinions

Remember its $269.. so dont bash it because it doesnt sound like a Budda... for the price, this amp is really a decent value.

Are you talking about the store outside of Pigeon Forge on the side of the river? If so, I checked out on of those myself back in Dec. I'm headed that way for a honeymoon in May and I'm *hoping* to leave with something
