Hello,

I try to find a great compact amp with few knobs.
I use an 72 Ampeg V4 and I'm not amazed by the sound of Marshall JCM 800 and 900, I may prefer an AC30 or Fender BF Deluxe (old ones!).
It's quite hard to try a Matchless here (just find one SC30 in London and play it 1/10 of an hour with too much poeple around but love his sound).

I do have a 100w powerhouse full of knobs at home (V4) so a DC30 seems to much (to hung around too), also it has a £3000 price tag on it !!!!!

I love the four little 15 Watters Matchless made at first with the small cab (Spitfire, Lightning, hurricane and Tornado).

I have red lots of reviews but I need someone who know them well to help me to choose one.

Hi all. Just a though have you tryed the matchless phoenix 35 yet I currently own a DC30 2X 12 and love it to death. But recently played thru one of these and it was the most amazing amp ive ever played thru. Ive had Mesas marshalls fenders Line6 Flextones (Junk)and Id happily burn everyone of them to have a Matchless. I havent played thru one I havent loved. Clubmans, DC 30, Lightning, Phoenix 35 I would cry if mine was stolen
