I have one of the 130 chrome face Classic 150 power amps that where made. This thing is equal to Godzilla in a box! Compared to other power amps I own (Mesa Stereo Simul 295, Marshall 9200 and Rivera TBR -3 Hammer 120) this amps is the most musical sounding. It is in your face and load enough to remove most of the drywall in any club you could play in! It is built like a tank and let me tell you, once you schlup this thing a round a few times, you will know that it needs it's own forklift, it must wiegh close to 65 pounds. But sound wise it is second to none, that is why you will find it in the racks of Steve Vai, Steve Lukather and many other pros. I paid top dollar for it last year, bought it used from a great guy who need money to buy studio equipment. I will never sell it!

I own a VHT 2/50/2 and am extremely happy with sound quality of this amp. The fact that it's two spaces is just an added bonus because I can't afford to have a 2150 or 2100 in my rack. It replaced a Mesa 2/90 which I used for eight years without any problems but the muddiness in the low end and lack of control of the depth became an issue for me. The VHT is just tighter, more focused and more articulate. The only thing the Mesa had over the VHT is headroom and a bit more smoothness, much of which is attributed to the 6l6 tubes.
