can ne one tell me if there is ne way setting up my amp to use as a head? it doesn't have an external speaker out. but what does 'power amp in' do or serve a purpose as? and what does 'pre amp out' do?

If you run a cable out of the "pre-amp out" you can run that into the "power amp" in of another amp. You'll be using the pre-amp "tone" of the 1st amp and the Power amp "power" of the 2nd amp. If you just want to use your amp as a "head", you'll have to disconnect the speaker and run the speaker wire to another cabinet. If your amp is "hardwired" to it's speaker there's gonna be some soldering involved (and possibly the need for an adapter of some kind). Also, make sure you've got the correct impedence between the amp and the new cab/speaker. If you've never worked with electricity before or you don't understand some of these terms, DON'T DO ANY OF THIS. At the least, you can hurt your amp. At the most, you can hurt yourself.
