Has anyone here tied, heard, owned, or currently own any of James Peters' amps.
He is a small but highly sought after Calgary based tube amp designer/builder. His amps are in the Marshall Hiwatt famoly with a little something to make them unique. They have all the great features that do not effect the amps core tone. James is well known for his dedication to amp design/build quality and his unsurpassed commitment to his customers. His site www.petersamps.com is undergoing upgrades for his new product line and will contain new pictures and sound clips. I have been here in Calgary for 5 years and all the buzz is about James Peters and his awsome amps. Well worth checking out. Kind Regards Craig check out my site Guitar From The Green goo for my gear and music. |

check out the harmony-central amp forum. A lot of guys have peters amps and he was extremely popular for a long time. But I haven't really seen him on the boards for awhile and the talk has died down. But from all the amps I have seen and heard, they are really, really nice.

I talked with James just the other day and he told me he has been out of the loop kind of because he has been working hard on revamping his amps both internally and cosmetically. He is currently assembling a 50 watt head and will be assembling a 10 watt head shortly thereafter.
Keep an eye on his site because as soon as he assembles the heads he is taking pictures and posting them on the site, sound clips will follow shortly after. Yes indeed James is a very nice man and talented to boot.He has added some cool features and upgraded most of the components and also is having his transformers custom made to his exact specs. But don't take my word, e-mail him from his site www.petersamps.com Craig check out my site Guitar From The Green goo for my gear and music. |
