I've got a Fender frontman 15R which appears to turn on fine, red led comes on... but absolutely nothing happens when a guitar is plugged in and played, except for the odd static pop/bang if you wiggle it around. There are auxilary inputs on it which work fine, so I guess it might be the input socket? Is this an easy/cheap repair?

Although it might be something a tech could fix, it isn't worth fixing. The bench charge alone for a decent tech is going to cost nearly as much as replacing that amp.

Look at getting a small, affordable tube amp. A good start would be the Epiphone Valve Jr. You'll enjoy it far more than the Fender.

Don't forget to save the speaker.

there is a broken solder connection on the circuit board or the input jack needs to be replaced, yes it's a cheap repair if you find a tech who works cheap (not easy).
