i have an ac306TBX

can i switch the pot that controlls the tremolo/vibrato rate from a 3 position one to a normal?

would anything else be involved?

Hey Ben,

Yep - it's pretty easy mod. The switch has three contacts that switch between three different resistors that all go to ground. The largest is a 1M resistor for the fast setting. All you have to do is remove the switch, and install a 1M pot. One end of the pot would go to ground, and the wiper would go to the common point of the old switch. For a faster trem you could go with a larger pot. 3M is a common choice for this mod. PaulC

i like a pretty slow trem most of the time, so do i need the 3M for that? or less resistance like the 1M?

also, if i use a 3M, do i need to change resistor values?
