i have a fender princeton chorus amp (solid state) that i've had since the mid-90s. it's been a great amp until recently. now, after a few minutes of playing through it, the volume will suddenly increase. a few minutes later, the volume will decrease again. the cycle repeats indefinitely every five minutes or so.

any ideas anyone? i'm an electronics newbie, btw
