Hey guys- awesome site. Looking for some Amp and Guitar Gurus in the Southern Ca. area. I had one shop replace the tubes in my VibroKing and it came back with some issues.
Also, need a solid guitar tech for my Geets. Thanks in advance. B81 1994 Fender VibroKing Marshall 2061HW 1966 Marshall JTM 45/100 Full Stack 2 EJ Fender Strats Fender custom shop Danny Gatton Tele w/Bardens |

Amp Techs
In San Diego: Jeff Snider of Snider Amps: http://www.snideramps.com/ You can reach him through The Repair Zone in San Diego or Super Sound Music in Escondido. Don "Tone-Man" Butler. One of the old So. Cal. sages. Tone-man to many stars. I had him do a pedal mod for me a few years back - totaly pro in all ways. http://www.tone-man.com/ Jerry Blaha at Amp Crazy Hollywood. He fixed a Mesa Boogie amp of mine that two other techs couldn't (including Mesa!). He's been doing it for years. He used to be around the corner from GC Hollywood, just up the side street from Mesa Boogie Hollywood, I assume he still is): http://www.ampcrazy.com/ The Plexi Palace - The authority for all things British: http://www.plexipalace.com/va/index.html They just serviced my '69 Marshall small box 50 watt head last fall - she's rockin'!!! Guitar Techs Micahel Tuttle of Best Frets - No better for frets that I've found. http://www.bestfrets.com/ In San Diego Fred at the Repair Zone is good for normal bread and butter stuff. Easy to deal with and fairly quick. In San Diego for restoration, Yuris at the Blue Guitar. The old sage of San Diego, somewhat eccentric. Ok very eccentric! Not sure about the other techs there now. John Carruthers up in Santa Monica? Just make sure John works on your guitar - although this is probably not going to happen. I had some bad fret work/set up by one of his apprenticies. Wow- GuitArtMan, I couldnn't ask fo much more than that. I ended up taking my Strat to a shop in Laguna Beach as they seem to have some solid guitar guys there though.
Stoked on the amp information as that is really what I am after some help. Much appreciated billion81 1994 Fender VibroKing Marshall 2061HW 1966 Marshall JTM 45/100 Full Stack 2 EJ Fender Strats Fender custom shop Danny Gatton Tele w/Bardens |
