ToneFest '04 is this week, Thursday through Saturday. We've just updated the site with some important material:

• The Activities & Daily Schedule link explains what we will be doing each day, including recording amps, and allowing many hours for all the participants to do personal reviews of the amps, a competition of the favorites and more.

• The Amp Line Up link gives a list of some of the amps and builders who are expected to be represented this year. Additionally we will have our typical line up of fabulous vintage beauties, including MANY Plexi JTMs (45, 50, 45/100), JMPs (50s & SLs), and Basketweave cabs; several JMI AC30/6s and an AC30/4; Many old Hiwatts and several Hiwatt cabs.

• The Amp Data Form link shows the form that amp owners will be filling out. It also shows the categories we will be looking at amps in.

• The Amp Evaluation Form link shows a facsimile of the form that participants will be using to evaluate each amp as they review them. These forms will be compiled to determine favorites in the different categories. The top choices in each category will be competed and voted on by all.

This is purely a subjective exercise and simply gives players an opportunity to focus their tone & performance interests amidst an array of some of the worlds best amps.

We are very pleased to have many coming from outside Florida for the event this year, and sorry also for those who wanted to make it but couldn't swing the time.

When ToneFest'04 is concluded we will be busy preparing the results of the participants' Evaluations, the Competition, photos and CDs of the recordings. The ToneFest '04 site will be a clearing house for information about the outcome of the event and how to obtain CDs.
