Blah!!! The pickups covers don't even match the guard!

Definately just kidding. Makes me yearn for my old Strat. It had the same finish and maple board. In my opinion, the coolest Strat look ever.

no they don´t really match since I popped in a set of SD Antiquities in the US 57 Strat. Great sounding and cool looking pups.

The one to the left is a Fender Japan ST54-150 40th Aniversary Custom Edition

The one to the right is a Fender US 57 Strat.

The amp a Dr Z MAZ jr

Very cool. I would really like to try one of the Dr. Z amps, but I haven't seen any in the Mpls. area.

I assume your Japan Strat has something the normal Jap Strats don't. What are the differences?

the Fender Japan Strat has got a swamp ash body, fat soft V neck and american hardware...I switched to a Callaham bridge and some Fralins Blues Specials with the Blender Pot...AND it´s made in Japan by the Crafts Shop...which some people call the Fender Japan Custom Shop, because that´s more or less what it is....
