I was modding my Blues Driver the other day and when I was done I had lost the LED. The pedal works (and sounds better) but the darned LED stays out.

I completely desoldered and resoldered every component I modded to make sure I hadn't crossed up something. But still no LED.

Has anyone ever fried one while modding?

LEDs can burn out if their dropper resistor is too low in value (or shorted). The can also wear out like lightbulbs, but that would take billions of years of constant use.

My guess is that the LED has become unsoldered.
