They're probably momentary SPST switches, not DPDT.

When I took mine apart the small pad switch was attached to the board with four posts (which leads me to beleave it to be a DPDT switch) and was not a momentary switch as it definately clicked on and off. The switches that are seen on the outside of the chassis are just pushing on the internal switch with a small spring and a small metal rod. I ideally want to replace the small (and apparently cheaply made) switch and the external metal actuator with a switch similar to other stomp boxes (one reliable component instead of two sketchy ones). This will entail de-soldering the tiny pad switch from the board and running four wire leads to a standard mechanical switch. What I am looking for is a sturdy switch that has a slim internal profile. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

4 posts would be DPST, not DPDT. Either, I think the pedals use relays for their true bypass switching, not regular hard wired bypass switches.
