My Tone King Continental is the only amp that is giving me this problem. I have a MIJ 60's Ri strat that sounds fine with my other amps but with this one it makes noise when I touch the pick gaurd with my fingers. I can't help touching it accidently while playing. It makes a poping noise almost static like. I have Van Zandt Vintage Plus pups in it and a new switch was installed last year. The rest is stock. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Thanks! |

I am also having this exact problem. It just started a couple days ago. Anyone know what's going on and how to fix it? Thanks!

Somebody told me to wipe a dryer sheet on the pick gaurd or put one inside for a more permanant solution. It is caused by static. I still haven't tried it yet.

I researched this on TGP and they recommended the dryer sheet idea too...I tried it and it works! Also recommended was spraying your pickguard with some anti static laundry spray. Or putting some shielding on the inside of the pickup cavity. Rock on, no more popping!
