Hey all,

Iam rewiring a Les Paul Custom and I am wondering what kinda pots I need ? When the volume is at 0 I want NO sound to come through.
Is there a huge difference between CGE and CTS pots...?

500K CTS will do the job just fine. There are better choices though. The biggest problem with the LP is that the top is thick enough to force you to use longer shaft pots and at present unless you want to pay for custom made pots your kinda stuck using the Gibson CTS made 500K units

dumb question, guitars use audio or liner taper?

Audio is thr standard but you can use linear . with fair results
