Hello Everyone,
I am new here hoping that someone will help me with a very simple task. I have never done anyting like this before, and don't have the cash to send it off for a simple Chip exchange. All I Want to to, is change my JRC chip to a TI chip in my Ibanez TS-9DX pedal. Can someone please help me, I know nothing, so talk to me like I was a 5 year old, thanks. if you search on google.com you can find plenty of info on this topic, such as this;

Well, if you do not want to de-solder (and I'm guessing you don't want to destroy the pedal with inexperince) then I would send it off to Analog Man -or another modder. To replace the chip in the TS9-DX **I belive** you'll need to desolder the old chip. The good thing, is if you get it back with a chip socket, you can easily change chip by popping them in and out easily.
What chip do you want to try? |

GARMOPAT Modifications did the best job I've seen in a while on my TS-9DX, email Gary in Colorado at GARMOPAT@msn.com if you would like to get a pedal modified. Amazing what he did with my pedal, and the price was great. Tell him that Travis sent ya! He'll do you up right, I'm telling you, not ever to take anything away from my beloved Analogman, or Robert, but Gary is great at what he does as well!
