I just got my V847 back from George at Pedalworx and he did some incredible tweaks. I sent it to him for the bypass mod and a new pot and also told him to give it a listen and 'tweak it up'. He wrote back and said he did a mod he had been considering for awhile. Mine was the first he did and he said it worked so well that he was going to do it to his and offer it as a standard mod. I can't tell you exactly what he did, but the results are fantastic. It now has a very open glassy tone with a clean amp setting and with an overdriven tone it has the most incredible honk. I've had a number of great wahs over the years, including an original Clyde McCoy. My V847 w/ George's mod now sounds better than my Clyde and I never thought that could be possible.
Needless to say I am very pleased with the results and I recommend George's work highly. In addition he did the work at a very fair price with a one week turnaround.
You can find his contact info on the Pedalworx web site. Tell him you want the mod he did for George in Alabama
