Hey guys,

This is an embarassing one, I just got (as in with the last two hours) a 57 gld top, and i was in the process of trying to lower the pickup high and I lowered one of the side of the neck pickup a little too low... poping the spring. I sounds fine, and there is balance across all of the strings. I was wonder how I go about fixing it? can it be done with out removing the strings and removing the pick up from the body cavity?

Any help would be much apperciated!!

No, I think you will have to remove the strings and take out the pickup and re-screw it in.

Good luck!

What he said..

And congrats bro,,, '57 reissues are freaking sweet! Cool

As much as I'm loving my '03 Std., I've been cross eyed over this:

Figured as much! I guess it has to happen at least once, just didn't have to be so soon! This was my first real Les Paul, and I still can't belive how natural it feels playing it, more so than any of my other guitars. Sexy as hell to boot.

Shamus, that is one pretty guitar. I would love to see that in person!
