Hi all,

I posted a topic today on amps and pedals forum about attenuators for my Fender VibroKings. The Weber MASS came back the most recommended. But the VibroKing speaker load is 2.7 ohms. I know THD Hotplates have a 2.7 ohm version, but I like the speaker motor design used in the Weber (I think). Since reactance (impedance) is frequency dependent, maybe thinking back to school years ago: z = 2*PI*F*L where z is reactance, F is freq and L is inductance(coils), can the 4 ohm load work OK? What frequecy does an attenuator manufacturer rate their loads?

Thanks, Carl

I've got the minimass which goes down to 4 ohms, running with my super reverb, which is 2 ohms.
Ted Weber explained it to me, but I don't remember exactly, something about a 'swamping network' or something like that, the short answer is that he said no problem, I could run the minimass into the super reverb, no problem. I'd suggest emailing him or calling him if you have any reservations.
