hey all,
I have had this problem with my amp on or off since i bought it. It likes to crackle and spit, (best way to describe the sound) Hit it under the tubes, or on top of the amp and it goes away. I was thinking maybe loose tube/dirty contact/micro phonic tube... It has been retube once since the thing started only to come back, kick it hard enough and it stopped doing it for over a month of regular playing... Anyone have any ideas, or suggestions? cheers! ___ We can't stop here... this is bat country... |

Check the RCA type plugs going into the Reverb Tank, If they are loose or have dirty contact this can cause noise Issues. Or you can just unplug the tank and see if the problem goes away!

Try shooting the tube sockets with electronic cleaner, and make sure the screws holding the head into the amp are tight. I have a Peavey Heritage 2x12 and found just cleaning & shooting everything quieted it down.
