Can anybody out there tell me the best way to get an adjustable lead boost? Mys situation is this:
I'm currently using a cyber twin
Fender guitars with single coils

I'm getting a great rythmn tone that is pretty distored already. All I want to do is make that sound much louder. However, when I add an overdrive pedal or a compressor all it does is squish the sound and makes the volume go down. And yes, I've tried it through the FX loop. Same deal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe a good clean boost with a lot of headroom??

I would recommend the Barber Launch Pad. It has an unreal amount of headroom and has many other features as well, and it's only $109. Hope that helps!!

Could you write a new patch thats exactly the same as your exisiting rhythm tone, but with a volume and/or gain boost?

Bad Bob Boost, should fix your problem without changing your tone, and warm up that SS amp a little also

How about a volume pedal?

It looks like we are talking about boosting a digital amp and a volume pedal would probably be better than an analog boost.

Let me know if this works. Thanks
