hey all,
Before I tried it, I wanted to know what you guys think. I have an old fender sidekick 10 amp I love the distorted sound i can get out of it, but it it really only sounds good with the volume up to about 2-3. It has a line out on it, so I was thinking of running it to a bigger solid state amp to boost the volume. If i run the line out to the input of the bigger amp, so i stand a chance of burning both of them out? Thanks! ___ We can't stop here... this is bat country... |

Hi and NO you won't burn out anything but please start this way. Setup the little amp for your sound. run the cord to the larger amp with the volume OFF!! Then bring up the larger amps volume to where it suits you. Remember that the line out of the little amp will be stronger than a direct/passive guitar signal so you'll have to experiment with the combination. Enjoy>>>>>>>>>teleman

cool, i figured it would be ok, but jsut wanted to check. The dirty amp volume is pretty low to begin with ( i can have it set the way i want and still hear the tele or talk on the phone, so it really does need a volume boost
